Clinton's mayor and board of aldermen will vote on a
controversial treehouse this evening. Five years ago, Scot and
Mary Welch built an elaborate treehouse in their front yard but
in April, Clinton Zoning Commissioner, Gary Ward told them
they'd have to take their treehouse down.
The city calls this an assessory building, which violates the
city's zoning codes. Several hundred people have signed a
petition to let the Welch's keep the treehouse.
