udge Tomie Green has been assigned the

case; and the supporters of the Children's Treehouse could not be more pleased.
     The Honorable Judge Tomie Green is a longstanding, sincere advocate of legislation and rulings that support both family and children, the core of American values and ideals.  She has worked to remove drugs from neighborhoods and provide child support for children.  She has a record of supporting efforts to bring honor and efficiency to the judiciary. 

      The Honorable Judge Green took the oath of office to become the first woman elected to the Hinds County Circuit Court.  From 1992 to 1998, Judge Green served in the Mississippi House of Representatives.  She served as Vice Chair of Ethics, and as sub-chair of the Judiciary A committee.  As the result of her academic excellence, professionalism, integrity, dedication and commitment to community service in her political and professional life, Judge Green has received numerous honors and awards.  Through the tireless efforts of Judge Green and her staff, a backload of some 1800 civil and criminal cases has been cut by more than 70%, an amazing accomplishment.

     The Honorable Judge Green is the widow of Cornelius Green, Jr. They are the parents of a daughter, Nikisha Green Ware, a graduate of Tougaloo College(BA) and Florida State University (MME); and a son, Synarus Derron Green, a graduate of Jackson State University
