The reason Rosemary can put a sign in her yard is that she is elected and not an employee. She cannot be fired, but has to be defeated in an election. Employees of the city who are hired and fired not by voters, but by the people that we the voters elect can not put signs in their yard period. It is a conflict of interest.

I have never heard a more unconstitutional, anti-American, freedom hating answer disguised as intellectual bs in my life. The city is an employer. It is not your dictator. It should not dictate your personal life, personal time and your personal property.

It is sad when your employer will even say they may hire or fire you just because of your beliefs. It does not surprise me that the Aultman administration has made this policy. They have over stepped constitutional rights before. Threats are no way to lead.

I can guarantee you that John Mosley will not threaten to fire you because you place another candidate's sign in your yard.
He is not that insecure and needy of this job. It is wrong to have a policy to discipline someone for a political sign placed in their own yard during their own personal time. What is next, religion. If you are not the same religion as Mayor Aultman, you may be denied promotion or fired. Do not laugh, constitutionally, there is little difference !!!  If our Mayor is Catholic, should all Baptist employees stop expressing their faith?

Familiarize yourself with the employer's creed which the city of Clinton does not follow:
"It is our policy that you will not be discriminated against or harassed because of your race, color, national origin, alienage or citizenship status, creed, religion, religious affiliation, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status or any other protected right under any law, regulation, rule or guideline."

If the strict language of the creed applies during your work time, you can imagine how much worse it is for your employer to harass you because of rights practiced during your personal time.

Thank God that I work for an employer who will not deny promotion or fire me because of who I vote or campaign for.  Thank God that I work for an employer that promotes political freedom.

Diversity of opinion promotes creativity, great policies, and caring employees.  Aultman's philosophy is just the opposite as summarized in this Clarion Ledger interview, "I am trying to get everyone lined up and headed in one direction."  Ironically, the person who denies your right to have a sign in your yard because it may conflict with her interests has no problem placing a sign in her yard because it agrees with her interests.
